Pictured is 17-year-old Zana Evans who recorded two top-30 results. Zana became the first-ever junior Australian to compete in the Sprint Finals. Zana is the daughter of three-time Olympian Anthony Evans.

The Australian Junior Cross Country Ski Team has recorded its best-ever Nordic World Junior and U23 Champions campaign, with a record number of top 30 performances, plus career-best results.

The nine-strong team competing in Lygna, Norway recorded six top 30 results from four different athletes. Click [HERE] to read a full report including all results. There was only one Victorian in the team (Fedele de Campo – U23) and as long as the editor can remember no Birkebeiner NSC representative.
